Audi 80 2.0e - Fuel line replacement - Can anyone recommend the right diameter and ty
Whilst sorting out my fuel filter I noted the sorry state the fuel lines were in. I'd like to replace them with rubber hoses like this
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RUBBER-RE...GWVVJnecCYq6sA Does anyone know if this hoses type is correct and which diameter should be used? Thanks in advance. |

I don't think using rubber is recommended. I used 8mm cunifer. Some do use ANN fittings and pipie.

Interesting. I've been doing some research and rubber hose seems to be the latest thing for replacing fuel lines.

It looks great. Surely rubber hoses would be easier and last longer.
How pliable is the cunifer? |

You would need to come up with a solution for holding the hose to the body. Using cunifer means you can re-use the original clips and holders.
I use 5/16” cunifer pipe. Easy to bend to shape without kinking and easy to flare

What are the blue connectors? Did you buy those or were they already on the car?

Those blue covers come with the new pipe and are there to prevent dirt and debris entering the lines.
Cleanliness is very important and you don’t want foreign matter entering the fuel system

I had to replace the steel lines around the filter area last year and used Kunifer pipe joined with brass compression olives to the sound existing lines. That enabled me to use the original supports and rubber mounting inserts. Nary a leak since.
