B4 discs on a B3?
Being the prize twit that I am, I've just spotted the fact that the mintex discs I bought are B4 size (larger diameter). Has anyone used these bigger discs on a B3? Are there any mods that are needed to do so that I can use these bigger discs, or do I shell out for the proper size and hope that the wife doesn't notice......

There are different sizes used on both B3 and also on B4 - usually dependent on engine size but also chassis number dependent.
There's also the problem that B4 cars used different hubs so the offsets changed. The B4 discs you have - are they 280mm ?

280mm indeed. The 'hole in the middle' is fine and they are vented.

They'll not work unless you can source a set of carriers from a B4.
There's a 10mm difference in height on the B4 discs

Thanks Mike. So an interesting dilemna; if i obtain new carriers, I will be stuck with using B4 discs but B3 bits are getting a bit harder to come by. I'll ponder until after Christmas.
Have a cool Yule. |
