As per the title and moving on from the last post "Any fans of this" here's another effort and one a lot of us grew up with.The difference here is his films unlike the persuaders are still as good today as they were yesterday.

Was a big fan even before The Saint when he used to be in the childrens ITV show called "Ivanhoe ". Now that really dates me.

Always a gentleman and now doing a huge amount of good ...using his talents to help a deserving cause. Good on you and long live Sir Roger.

.Always a Gentleman,was a truly great bond and what with his later work with save the children he's a model human being in my eyes.He could of just retired like they all do but instead took on "Save the Children" A humble man despite his fame and fortune.

Not one I've ever heard of but looks worth a watch.....hope its better than Craigs recommendation of " Hot Tub, Time Machine"

That era of actors seemed to be unique individuals in their own right. Richard Burton, Richard Harris, Sean Connery, Lee Marvin, James Coburn, etc.,love them or loathe them, I think you'd find them all very interesting dinner guests. I just don't think you'd get the same from today's crop of leading men.

I can't remember who said this but someone once said "Hollywood once had men who acted, now it has actors who happen to be men".

I believe it is a generational thing... different times shape people differently....
