And once again, the met orifices 33 million quid sinclair spectrum pulls a rabbit out of its ass.

So hows the uber-mega-hyper-giga-terra storm affected you?
News from the west midlands this morning, same old same old, nothing to see here, one or two crisp packets floating around but hardly worthy of the kinds of scarey hairy news reporting the usual suspects keep trotting out to frighten the simpletons with.
If I didnt know any better, I'd say theyre not full of shit and could forecast a surething.

I have since discovered the full extent of the worst ravages of this mega killer storm on our estate, and it includes the devastating news that a small piece of felt has ripped on the ancient shed, and that two, I repeat, TWO miniature ornamental pyramids for growing plants up HAVE FALLEN OVER...

I have, understandably, declared a full state of emergency and arranged for the family to shelter in a nearby hotel until the extensive repairs are completed.

All being well, we'll be able to move back home before Christmas...

Based on expectations, I revised my choices- The barbecue remained chilled, and one had a light beer.

I was intrigued once again, however, at how much water was conveyed sideways. It was like being in a car wash. Stupidly, I didn't go and wash the car, which was getting a liberal rinsing.
Brings back memories of the sticky wet monsoon.
Sans the cloying humidity

It's truly a disaster.
Not only has the concept of christmas survived the biblical flood, but your wallet has been prised open, as well.
