Default Alice's power steering pump

Please can anyone proffer some advice. Our '98 1.8 cab has a weeping power steering pump.
Our local dealer kindly offered to get one on back order for the princely sum of £1,200!!

Can these be reconditioned ? Concerned that they're so old even internal components may no longer be available. If they can is there a reputable firm anyone knows of in Yorkshire.

Or, is there any possibility ( fat chance) that could use one off a '98 A4 1.8 with ADR engine?
Suffering from callouses on fingers from trying to Google an answer so any advice is nuch appreciated.

I've just googled 'Power steering specialist Yorkshire' and top of the list is this power steering reconditioning specialist in Wakefield

Got to be worth a call

Pretty sure ones off ADR A4s fit the cab ADR, you will get one for £20/30 on eBay/scrapyard

Default Thanks guys

Many thanks for the guidance and advice.

Misfire, I'd seen that listing but for the life of me couldn't reconcile the part numbers they quoted with the one I found from the VAG part number site 🙄
Common sense shall prevail in the morning and I'll call them.

Spink: thank you: I was hoping they would be the same.

CJP: that's freaky as my sister made some calls and got hold of these guys and they said they can recondition it £110 cash. I've looked at their website and they seem professional.

Thank you all for your super quick responses; a massive help and much appreciated .
