One of my life's regrets is that I didn't do either The Casino or The Mecca as I wasn't really old enough, although a couple of lads in the same year as me at school managed it. Nearest I got was the Sunday Northern and Soul night at Leyland Methodist Church Hall, complete with Casino DJ, and I had to sneak out of the house to get to that! Luckily living in a Pub my parents were too busy to notice and I was always back before they'd finished When I was old enough I'd kind of 'moved on' to Funk and life and work got in the way, as it does
