Workshop space is the problem, either too expensive or at least 1 hour each way to travel min.

Yep understand all that as i looked into doing similar back in 1991. Even one of the arches on the Underground was from memory £750 per month rent can't remember what the rates were. All frightening stuff, Anyway didn't happen as Kodak pulled the plug on my redundancy that i was going to use to help set it up.

In another life David i'd be in the country somewhere on a small holding, nice Cottage to live in and outbuilding for the business rent free. Thats the way to go imho.

Afraid country side isn't for me, not saying middle of London or city but when we go away to Devon etc and see relatives I cant wait to get back to the orange glow of the town up the M4

That's the dilemma town = expensive,.......... a little bit further out = doable.
