from what i remember...ahem (wikipedia!) there were protos done by lancia, audi, ford opel and toyota. The lancia is the one i remember as there were a lot of pictures at the time.

Cant quite remember if it was 2 or 3 years back, At FOS the was the group s prototype MR2 parked up in the Rally paddock, it was the year Sainz was there

THE Audi S model built to replace the shorty sportie is in Ingolstadt on the rotating display. I have seen it and have phots somewhere of it.
Aparently had a 5 pot 25v turbo engine fitted

it was pretty small compared to the quattros. A 6R4 size at a bad guess.

I love the Delta S4. It looks very menacing with the blacked out windows, probably more menacing due to Toivenen dying in one. They just look so flimsy, I think I read somewhere once that if the weather was very stormy it was all the service crews could do to keep the back from flying away when it was in the open position!! You don't get that on a quattie.
