Yes and you had better remove it as well no point putting an uncracked manifold on with only replacing 1 engine mount you are asking for trouble Do the job properly

Default mounts

so ,,is it fixed ? supported, and looking good? how much more work do you have to do on it? i started out with a w reg 2005t auto , dark blue on ur 8x15 ronals, man i loved that car,,,,, my dad rolled it always thought it needed a manual box, and still wondered if it would take a quattro drive system [pie in the sky till i find another]
best of luck with the project

Indeed...do the job properly, I will replace both mounts!

It's not very difficult to replace a mount, especially as I have the head off etc (to do some other work).

However it did become very difficult when one of the mount studs started slipping and I had to saw it...but the starter didn't leave me enough room to get the saw in... then I couldn't undo the starter because the downpipe was in the way...then I couldn't undo the downpipe because the exhaust joint was rusty...it was a long night but now it's done...almost...I am a car bore!

Here are a few pictures of work in progress - must finish the other 200!

It's not too bad really. I bought another wing off eBay for £1.49 - ok so postage was £25 but I think I got a good deal. I may have said this about my other 200 (and it's still true) but this one will look like new when I've finished with it!

The great thing about this 200 is that nobody wants the spare - they are all mine...and normally only 99p on eBay!
