Brownsea Island, where even the squirrels are rusty.

I've just fired up the S2 and the old Ford too..... not quite the 15 cylinder burble that you had but enjoyed it anyway. Electronic dizzy to fit to the Ford and a slight coolant leak on the Audi to investigate. All good fun.

Good, hopefully theyíll nick a few.

Itís actually starting to wind me up, itís pretty constant now, and thereís just been a group of about six bikes go up the A24 and go right up, through all the gears as they passed the derestriction signs. Why should they be out enjoying empty roads?

Good stuff John. Weíll have to take the S3 out soon, (or at least rig up a charger) otherwise thatíll die and block the fleet in....

Default ...and now for something completely different.

Picking up many small distractions (read: unfinished projects) while an exile in exile, Iíve been keeping a little busy.

Like dirty dishwater circling the drain (Simmo, youíll have to ask Andrea what that looks like. Hint: itís oft found in the kitchen), Iím slowly getting to some tasks for which I have little interest.

One such distraction is a project to make a small box/case to house a geometry set. Itís something of a family antique. Dad gave it to me when I was about twelve. I gather he was gifted it by my grandfather who had it from his engineering days.
The original box finally gave up the ghost some 15years ago, and Iíve been promising I would get it finished, since. It was at least 60years old. The previous being made of plywood, but quite carefully crafted. I want to make something a little more solid from some off cuts of timber that I have.

One sticking point is some suitable lining fabric. The original being a thin burgundy velvet type material. I need a swatch about 300mm square. Before I go buying too much, would any of you hoarders have something kicking about?
