You will need to use the t89 track rods.

If you've got the 4 allen key bolts off, you should be able to drop the whole assembly with the mount stuck in it. Should be easier to remove it off the car. Rear diff can be supported on a jack or stand.

For wishbones, you can use front ones with the 2 bolt ball joint that are symmetrical. Coupe ones are usually offset.
Slight problem with the 4 allen key bolts, one of them rounded off as soon as I tried to undo it …… . joy.

Do you mean t89 2 bolt front wishbones or t85 ?

thanks

steve

You can use Irwin grip sockets to get the allen bolts off if they are rounded.

Either T85 or t89 - you just need to ensure they're not off set. T89 is probably best as they often don't have the bush for a drop link

Yep - they'll work, although you can get the other type which don't have fittings for the drop link bush

It seems these wishbones are going at a good price now, just checking out the front ones, 3 bolt mounting for the swivel on a 1989 coupe quattro parts numbers 895 407 147A & 148A I think are the part numbers ? £45.99 for a pair delivered :-)

I have cleaned the old front ones up but for that price I might as well replace them

Some progress, stubborn rear diff. mounting bolt removed, which has allowed the subframe to be removed
