Hi all, well we've managed to get the starter motor to turn Ok so I can ruke that out. Following advice from an earlier answer I have taken out the ignition switch and it lokks to be the problem, the switch is broken all around the bit where it connects inside the lock housing.
So, i have bought a new switch, same part number as the old one but I cannot manage to get it to locate with the half moon bit inside the lock housing. Ive been at it for hours now. The haynes manual states to have the key inserted and turned all the way anti clockwise, and I have the new switch orientated the correct way. No way can I get this damn switch to click into the half moon bit inside. Im losing the will to live with this car now.
Does anyone have any tips on getting a new ignition switch to locate properly?? Again thanks in advance for any help and answers
