CA has been a great source of knowledge and opinion to me over the years, whether its a problem with my C3 or advice on dealing with problems at work, and I think that will ensure its longevity despite some of my fellow forum members seeming as mad as hatters!
I do however agree with previous posts about it not being simple to post photos on here. I for one do not really want to increase my on-line presence unnecessarily, so I'm not likely to use the likes of Photobucket or FB unless I have to. Maybe posting photos on CA directly could be reviewed in the future? |

I was looking at the post attachment feature earlier and it was a bit of a pain and I work on the web every day. To post an image directly you have to use the paperclip button but then it is so picky about the size of the image I gave up. Unless a png is the size of a postage stamp the "computer says no", a jpg has more joy but that says no for anything more than 800px wide and that isn't very much. How many members then want to go and resize their images. Plus I'm not sure the attachments are the best way to showcase peoples pride and joy. Which leads to hosting images elsewhere and using the external image button, but that also has its own pitfalls. Realistically I still think thats probably the best way to go (images hosted elsewhere). |

I too am an avid reader and have been here since almost the start, scary how long really
I do not post much and only tend to reply if I have something helpful and constructive to add to a thread, you can see how far my experience and knowledge goes when you look at how little posts I have made! I will become more active from now on though, this forum is a great place and has some good people on, not to mention some cracking cars too |

As simple as it sounds the thing that first attracted me to this Forum/Club was the name 'Classic Audi'. Its such a good name Coxy selected because personally the word Classic is a complement to my car and when I bought it I wanted it to be known as a 'Classic Audi'. As long as the forum/club still exists it will always have a future because there will always be fans of old Audi's about.
I would have been alot less likely to join the forum if it would have been called something like- Pre A Audi fans or a generic Audi type name such as- Audi Club UK. Also the logo on the forum is very striking when you find it off the back of a search engine for the first time. Its a very crisp, professional look. |

The forums still quite busy as mentioned as I'm on a good few , a lot have come and gone as mentioned with the usual bell ends coming and going too . It's one of the most laid back I've been on for hassle too and not many issues compared to some . There's a good guide for posting pictures and it's quite simple too , took me a bit to suss it several years ago
