Default b4 80 door mirror glass

Hi all, A branch fell and broke the driver's side door mirror glass on my b4 80 avant last night. They are electric adjust and heated.

I thought I'd see if anyone has removed the glass before and might be so kind as to give me some advice... will some gentle prying with a screwdriver from the sides get the glass out, or am I going to snap a load of vital clips if I do this?

Thanks guys!

it should pull off with some persuasion.

Plastic trim tools are ideal for this job. Trick is to adjust the glass all the way to one side to leave a gap.

If you have the replacement glass, you'll see how it's attached. Should be an extra connector for the heater element that just disconnects

Reporting back, mirror changed successfully without any breakages thanks to your great advice Mike! Many thanks!

Also turned out to be a nice upgrade because the driver side mirror used to be a magnified type which meant narrow field of view / big blind spot, etc. The new one has a substantially better field of view - not bad for £4 posted!
