It does that to some people a guy that works for me will not touch the stuff as it sends him loopy.

How's the milk job still keeping busy?

Will, I also enjoy the Balvenie. Have a bottle of the Doublewood in the house now. It will need to be replaced soon.

As to, water, ice or neat? Depends on the whisky. Some of the "Cask Strength" varieties I like to rinse the glass with cold spring water, then dump the excess out, leaving just the sheeting water on the sides of the glass. For me this is just enough to open the nose and release the full flavors.

Something like Johnnie Walker Black. Neat.

Sorry to hear that Nigel. I deeply appreciate anyone, who recognizes the unique impact a thing (anything, substance or otherwise) has on them as negative and chooses otherwise.

Bless you man.

OK, how is it best to drink it?

Neat..? I'm not overly a fan of it neat.

Over Ice...? I much prefer mine this way

With water...? Never tried it with just a small amount of spring water, just water from the melted ice.

i used to have it over ice but got advised its not the done thing and to use cold water as the ice bruises the taste of the whisky, whatever floats your boat really

Is this a virtual bruising like a bruised ego?!

Doubt my palette is able to taste the difference to be fair! Can't understand all these people who sniff wine and then reel off a list of flavours/aromas that they can smell!!
