Default 200 Turbo Auto 1984 Definately Breaking now

OK,Ive had enough now.Shes up for breaking so let the vultures start-a-circling.

One cars enough, and Im more than happy with it.Its performing perfectly well and is reliable.

Im open to sensible offers on the engine minus metering head.It may not even be the metering head stopping her from running. She only runs for a short while on the cold start injector. She then dies. She was OK before the fuel pump was changed for a new one.I wont be removing this myself,so bring a crane.

So,offers being taken on engine, gearbox, full leather interior in dark chocolate brown (not heated or electric),wheels (original 5 stud).Good radiator, early thicker Intercooler, new front brakes.

The decision to break her is FINAL,so please dont waste your time trying to change my mind, with respect to everyone.

I'm not coming on here to try and make you change your mind, but what's the point of breaking up a rare old Audi for the sake of a small job?
Get it fixed man.

No wonder there are so few left.

can't believe you're about to break up a perfectly good Audi.

If it ran ok before the fuel pump was changed then you just need to find out whats changed between then and now.

If nothing else was touched at all and the pump was simply bolted up and now it dosent run then id be looking at the pump again or the pipework.
Is the pump fitted correctly?
Is the fuel line unobstructed as in crimped?

Hardly worth scrapping it for and i dont see why the metering head would be the culprit in any case as it was running prior to the pump change.

Oh, are the power wires to the pump the correct way round?

Think about it a bit matey, most likely just something daft thats giving you grief.

HI look at the problems i had with my 200 q/t 5 audi garages. 5 lots of trailers one from my home to lion garage in northampton audi specailist? 7 weeks there. then on to there other garage at Hinckley 12 weeks there no joy? then on to Bens at avperformance 7 weeks there still no joy but ben was good enough not to charge a single penny for all his efforts still owe him a drink. Then back to Daventry another trailer to a little unit 3 days got car running 400 pounds worst thing i ever done ran on 4 cylinders sooty plugs and exhaust. got car home would not start again. another trailer to elite motor tune Northampton Audi/ specialist 64 pounds an hour labour final bill 750 pounds should have been double that ! car now runs great. Over a year of the road and spent more time on trailers. would not do it a gain . Bart.

Surely they only fit one way round on the in-tank pumps? Different sizes.
