Duh... You needed your glasses to find them, that's why you did find them earlier.

As you seen at the weekend John the car has many things on the back seats and on the floor, my only defence is nothing goes out the window of my car, it will get cleaned when it becomes to much to bear

I just read through this whole thread, this is absolutely hilarious. I can relate to this so much, went out to the garage on Tuesday night with the intention of finishing off a wiring job which I had bought some new wiring for. Grand. Off I went to the garage, couldn't find the new wiring anywhere. It must be in the car. No, not in the car. The workshop then? Eh, no, not there either. Went from the workshop to the garage, to the house and back again and again for nearly an hour and despite cursing and swearing at everything including myself, nothing. Decided to give up before my head fell off with frustration, went to switch off the inspection light on the wall and there they were, sitting on top of the light. I did some more cursing.

Hey guys looks like we are all in the same boat when it comes to loosing things we rely on the most, my normal night down in the garage for me is about an hour working and two hours looking for tools I just had in my hand, I have cleaned the garage up and put all the tools in there appropriate location in the tool box but that last about a week and then back to normal, can't find my arse with both hands at times, some of you will find that funny because you know the size of me (struggle to get in below a car with the trolley jack at full height) and when you are just in the correct position below the car you need to go to the loo, I can honestly say life is not getting easier but it sure is getting funnier.
