Audi hasnt a hope in hell of recreationting the Ur quattro.... apart from Jensen there wasnt a 4wd production car so the quattro had the same effect as the nuclear bombs on Japan... it blew everyone else away.... now the Japs probably run rings around a quattro these days with thier play stations on wheels.

Audi models are far to heavy to feel nimble. The V10 RS6 weighs TWICE as much as the 100 avant so much for 30 years of weight reduction technology then!!

EVERY car since has been nose heavy and for those who like to go round corners with thier arse hanging onto the verge WILL be disappointed.

point b..... W.T.F is Audi even THINKING of putting a V8 into this car for is there really no body at Audi who seems to REMEMBER that a 5 cylinder engine was order of the day?

Look at it.... it looks Japanese from the side to rear

it will be governed by electronic gizmo's playing big brother to you.

only 400 bhp? thats less than the V8 RS4 or 350 in S5 guise.

make it 450bhp and a 5 pot, make it sound as if its a Ur quattro if nothing else
and dont expect much change from 60,000 quid either.

Any new quattro, that isnt following the fiat 500 bmw mini example, ie a retro styling exercise, needs pedigree not showroom estate agent style bullshit. The only way that will be achieved is to go racing or rallying with it. Wipe the floor with the competition, and the sales will come. Incidently i really quite like the look of the concept.

Looks like you read the article!!!!

It only mentions the 5 pot and at 1400kg, it's not exactly heavy, and 400 horses in a car that weighs 1400kg is gonna be quick!

It doesn't really do much for me either, going by the concept picture. Far too overblown and Jap looking, reminds me of a Skyline more than anything.
Still, sounds interesting though, esp if they go the 5 banger route!

Nuffink has replaced it, so just have the quattro (and the Rover somewhere in the depths of the garage!)
The RB5 was a great car, but just wasn't really 'me', and I got a bit tired of the Corsa boys trying to race it all the bloomin' while
I might have to rationalise the fleet a bit further too, for a while at least......
