can anybody tell me how i get the electric window switches out of the panel??

what car is it? B3?

There's 2 allen keys recessed into the handle, you need to remove these first,

no sorry forgot to say! '88 WR quattro with the window switches in the centre panel with ciggie lighter

got the panel off but been playing for around 30mins to get the bloody switches off! probably missing something really obvious!!

i think you get in under the ashtray, so take that out first.

they have very small tabs andy so go carefully.... i found if you apply gentle pressure on the switch itself they pop out the back....
