Front belt, accessed and adjusted lying on one's back in the dirt, just stick your head under the front of the car.
Don't know if it's just me but the toothed tensioner bit seems to be made of cheese and all of mine are near toothless, apart from the one I nicked from the 2.3 to put on the turbo. Get rid of it, they're a pain in the ar*e. B3 carb is the way to go. |

Nope, just being silly. Any 5 pot turbo engine will end up worth as much as a whole 100 turbo, so probably not a bad idea to keep it, but they are frustrating bloddy things at times, far more electrics etc. than your average classic audi and several systems on them that are unique to the c3
