I read the title as a test of a giant electric model of a Motor Torpedo Boat!

Yup. Me, too. I imagined something akin to a MTB or E-boat, not a (modern parlance) zero emissions moped...

Big beast of a thing that! I've only ever seen old women on electric bikes pretending they're cycling, but sounds an interesting twist, the assist! 50lb though! Think my hard tail is about fourteen. Bet theres a few of them being used by special forces, silent transport over any terrain.

I knew what he meant you old farts, mission training brief of course. I'm trying to get a five year into normal kids toys like I had, ones that kill people, ww2 planes etc. he doesn't seem amazed by them. Strange children these days.

Same here...

I used to see a Motor Torpedo Boat beached on the river in Shoreham, about 13 years. Not been through there since. Anyone know about it?

If it's the same one I was shown around by the owner some years ago, it's actually a German vessel designed as the successor to the E-Boat used to devastating effect in WW2. It's vast inside after one of the decks was removed and was used as a floating home. Bit damp though.
