B3 glass and chrome trims
Being realistic, do the exterior chrome trims end up getting butchered when the screens come out?
Starting to prep for paintwork and I'm tempted by a pukka glass out job but scared about marking what is immaculate (and probably rare) trim Any sage advice? Thanks! |

If the chromes around the front and rear screens are no longer available then I would find a very skilled guy and mask them up. Make sure th original paint is fully prepped for maximum adhiesion

Also the demasking should be done while the top coat is wet ..... This leaves no harsh edges etc

I trust my painter but it's always easier to get a decent job with the glass out, however I'm not sure how practical that is

what you need is a glass guy, who will listen, and then tackle the job sympathetically.
