1991 Audi 80 Quattro, £300 / Swap, London
This car belonged to a work colleague and after getting a Volvo Estate it was left unused in the garage. He was in a quandry as to what to do with it and I enthusiastically put my hand up expecting it to be a bit of me.
I don't like it, I'm a Leyland man! So it has had two owners, Barrie Gill, the Top Gear presenter and Grand Prix commentator (look him up) and after he died, his son, who I work with. It was bought new from Scotts of Chelsea, it has it's books, some history, lots of little dents, needs a good clean, starts on the button, stops well, 3 excellent Yokohamas and a budget tyre. It has a Pioneer tape deck, Sunroof, leccy windows, Audi mats and the cambelt is probably only 20k down the road (but 5 years), the odometer gave up a couple of years ago. The MOT is until November, tax until the end of this month (August), it will definately need a drivers seat belt as it is very frayed, it needs tracking, the front suspension knocks on speed bumps a little, the boot doesn't close shut though it's heavy and stays in place. The car is a bit fumey, could be an oil leak but the dip stick is loose in it's tube because the plastic top is broken. Other than that it seems okay, a slight click when you move it into 5th, nothing much! The battery is almost new and in the time I've had it (2 weeks & about 30 miles) it hasn't lost any fluid, I was in heavy traffic today for hours and there were no temperature issues. I don't want it but it means something to my mate so I would rather an enthusiast has it, I will swap almost anything motorised for it, anything Leyland would do I reckon, or a motor cycle of some description WHY? More photos if you need them! |

£300's a very fair price... The boot spoiler and rear lamps are worth that....

It's not the money, a good home is required! A swap for a decent car like a Marina or Allegro would be better though!
