Audi 100 Coupe S
Hello to all. Great site!
For the past year or so, my neighbour has had his Audi 100 Coupe S parked on my drive while he has building work done. Prior to this, it was sat in his garage for years. It looks in fantastic condition. Colour is a kind of sandglow orangey yellow. Just wondering what kind of money these fetch as I am tempted to buy it off him as a project. It is not running at the moment - but I am assured this is dur to flat battery. Any advice would be appreciated Oliver |

Anything from £500 for a basket case to £8000 for a top notch one and maybe even more!

Thanks. Don't think it is a basket case just yet. It has only done 70K. Not top notch either, though I don't think it will take much to get it sorted.
Are parts still available for these cars? Oliver |

I bought a '72 100 GL off a chap near Norwich recently and he's doing up a 72 Coupe and has the largest stash of parts (many NOS) for early 100's that I've ever seen!
If you need anything give me a shout and I'll pass on his details! |

I've got an old saloon, spares car, that colour! As you say Coxy well worth getting!
Parts are difficult to get, just about anything, unless you find a source with secondhand, NOS parts. Items such as front discs that are specific to the coupe are impossible to find!. Forget about going to your local Audi dealer for parts! Like any old car rot is the biggest problem. Make sure that the battery is charged and drive it up and down the drive to free the calipers as they are prone to stick and are expensive and a pain in the arse to fix. Buy it if you can get it cheap enough, as Coxy and myself will testify these early Audi's are top quality cars, akin to the mercedes of the same period (that's where they got the engine design from!)
