Theres a couple on ebay from £200

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/95-99-AUDI...0AAOSwXSJXPGuy

I am also breaking a 2.6 auto L reg, gearbox fine. No time to dismantle so you'd have to collect and remove! Price negotiable.

Yeah I've seen that one, I need to confirm the gearbox code as its off an A4. Where are you based pal and have you got a code?

Cheers

Car has been delivered and gearbox code is EPX. I've got a feeling there's a little more to the gearbox failing. The cooler pipes had split and cooked the box, pipes were replaced but it doesn't shift on the stick, no reverse and wants to drive in park and neutral! Got a feeling its the end of the road for this poor blighter as it has cosmetic issues (paint on main body) too.

Don't rush the decision, take a long hard look and see what the car could be when sorted first perhaps ?

Sadly have to agree with peacedub, 2.6 with auto caput and paint problems means........knackers yard i'm afraid. Recon box will be £2K,decent repaint minimum £2k. This stunner owned by Roo was up for £3k months ago now reduced to £2,250...........Get it bought someone!

Me thinks he should have advertised it on here.

Silver with red leather.

Not a fan of red leather on light coloured cars, only my taste but some will love that combo.

maybe so but cheap as chips for a good car. Rough cabbies are just parts cars i'm afraid. You could always buy it yourself Bruce and fix it up? Would scratch that itch you have.

After totting up how much time and effort I'll have to put into the cab the decision has been made to part it out. It is such a shame but as I'm tearing it apart the more little issues I find so it's made me feel a little bit better, because of my OCD I would have sunk 5k easily into it and that's what I wanted to avoid. My mates laugh at me because I always buy fixer uppers, spend a fortune doing them up instead of buying a mint one for half the price! I will create a for sale add for parts, the 2.6 ABC engine is by far its key feature, so smooth and quiet and been meticulously maintained.
