Default drivers window regulator

Hi
My drivers window made a noise and stopped working on my 1985 2.3 quattro coupe. I have opened the door panel and all the wires are plugged in , there is 12v power going in the wires right up to the motor so i think its fair to say its the motor thats gone. Any one have one for sale? Thanks

Before you do anything else, have you considered trying to clean the motor? Just in case gunk maybe the cause?

Spraying some electrical cleaner over it...

Probably even more money but quattro corner sell them - no price on website so you would need to phone or email.

Ebay

Thumbs up window working

THANK YOU to all the replies.
RINGMASTER is the man or woman. Took their advice, sprayed it on and went for a drive. 45 minutes later when the spray had worked its way through , it was all working again. So once again thank you to everyone.

Glad I could help. All part of the forum.

It's easy to forget electric motors can be spoilt by grime.

BTW I'm a bloke......
