What wheel is this option code?
Hello!
I've been looking through the fitted optional extras on my cabby and found this code: C4Z. I found out that it means this: RAD Alloy wheels 6.5J x 17 Any idea which wheels are these? and these tyres: H0P - REI All-weather tires 215/55 R17 94H (NAR) optimized rolling resistance I found these information in this pdf: http://vag-codes.info/files/options/...tion-codes.pdf Thanks! |

There's an online code decoder here: http://igorweb.org/equidec/
Dunno about the 17" bit but it's probably the Sport Rader alloys option:

Oh so these wheels are optional extras! I have these on the car, I thought they were aftermarket.

one of the "sport rader" discs are missing though the last owner could not get a replacement. I wonder if it's possible to get it from somewhere...

These wheels were part of the official accessory range, we had a rack of those rader wheels along with BBS in the showroom. They were generally bought and fitted at the dealers, I don't remember any ever coming from the factory with them fitted although there were some limited edition Golfs and Polo's that came with rader wheels. The Mark 3 Golf Rolling Stones springs to mind.

Well still no answer to what wheels it would be as the (very ugly) 5 spokes above are definately not 17". They will not be Bolero's either if the 6,5 x 17 bit is correct

If you do stick with them, I found these in my parts stash:
but... to all of us who lived through the soft spoke era, where nearly every other car wore them, they are like garlic is to vampires, so anything else would look better Ebay says different, 15"+ soft spokes are selling as they are retro and now rare.
