Difficult to know what kind of shillings these are worth, there can't be many still kicking about. I had one back in 1985, at the tender age of 25, in silver with the green/blue check interior and a 5 speed manual box. Had been a company car belonging the the MD of Lindt Chocolates UK for the first 4 years of its life, I paid £2850 quid for it with 60,000 on the clock. Wheel spin was available in third gear in the wet on demand, the turbo lag was massive, but it turned heads (including that of the young woman who since 1987 has been my wife). Wonder if VLU 864X is still alive??

Equally diffcult to know what value to put on a 1990 100 quattro avant, fuel system needs attention, currently doesn't run, any ideas?

Thanks for that davow, I only sold it in 1988 so it has only been missing for 5 years in the middle if untaxed since 1993 with no notification of being scrapped. I'd have it back tomorrow but what would her in doors say. I'm supposed to be reducing car numbers not buying more which is why the red one advertised will not be coming to Chez Galvin for parts or otherwise.
