B4 80.

probably resistor pack yes, easy to change on a LHD car as it's above the glove box, don't know for a RHD car.

Open the glovebox and squeeze it past the stops so it hangs down into the footwell, you can now see the heater fan, the resistor pack is on top where the wiring connects to.

and you can replace the replace the thermal fuse get one from maplins and solder it in make sure it goes the right way round maplins will match the old one up with a new one.
