Default 857 199 386a

Has anyone got a photo of how this bloody thing fits on the car?

Oh its the os engine mount heat shielding plate btw.

Ive spent a good hour actiing the idiot and cant for the life of me see how it goes on!

Any clues here? sound like it's bolted between the mount and the block.

One of the holes goes on the stud for the oil cooler support bracket.

The other gets a nut / bolt through the frame of the car

Hmm sounds plausible even though I couldnt seem to find a place itd fit properly.

Tony.
If, like me, you bought a new one, you will go nuts. Mine didn't fit because it quite simply wasn't bent right, or spot welded right. It's a cheap as cheap gets metal shield, and would not line up without some fettling.

Tim's pic is a good starting point. You might need several fit and fettle attempts before it goes in without rattling against something. On mine, the upper hole in the plate was way out of position so I drilled a new one.

It needs an enterprising chap with a fettish for stainless steel to fabricate a copy...
