Default When mere fuel injection and 20 valves aren't enough . .

i sat alongside a lovely signal orange mk1 (R reg) vw golf on the A78 this afternoon. we were on the same stretch of road for quite a few miles and then it happened...

a filthy, grey sapphire cosworth (i know, the things you never see in the same place at the same time!) joined us from the slip road and it all went....well, a bit pete tong from there!!

mr sedate in the orange golf put the boot down and the cosworth did similar. i mean that little jaffa really flew, as in 'turbo-charged'. the crap that spewed from the cozzie's tailpipe matched it's grim colour scheme and before i knew it, gene and i were a golden mile off of the back of these two turbo tear aways within a matter of seconds..

where are the duke boys when you need them!!!

I need what Andrew is talking about. 7a in my 80 avant quattro is so full of charm but I would hate to lose it in the name of chasing power. Your 90 is best without enhancements.
I think buying the right car with the right engine to start with is best. URS4 avant or 200 turbo avant quattro are the only cars I'd part with the 80 avant quattro 20v for. I'd like to have the cash to turbo the 7a though. My car puts the shits up enough cars without it if I keep my boot in it.
