yep, good call! 10 years is about the limit as 10 year old cars are at rock bottom depreciation wise at the moment and good cars will start to rise again, whilst sheds will just get thrashed in to the ground and broken up.

the thing with todays cars are....they too computerised!...too many motors..sensors...electronic gear..spoils the fun, it will be a nightmare to keep em maintained decades from now.

Cant knock a ford! Keep thinking of ditchIng audi and going back to em but that scenes got more knobs than the audi scene !

^^^^ this is the reason no car of the last 10 years will ever be conciderd a classic and actually rise in price from being rock bottom. the cost of maintaining it. and taxing it..... any car within a high tax bracket.... not to mention the price of fuel attached with anything with high mpg.

i mean my 100 c4 2.8 quattro. what a comfy great crusing car it is. handles well sails over speed humps at 40mph. will be/is great in the snow/rain. procon ten abs leather seats fit for a king. v6 sound track.
even if i spent 5k on any car.... id be hard pushed to improve the driving/owning experience imo. but still what could i sell it for? 5/600 at most? why is that?

I think the rs4 b5 may trundle upwards , decent ones have tbh as most are high mileage squitters out of the limited numbers brought in
