what do you drive in NZ?
ha ha well I knew my mate wouldn't keep it (a new baby on the way when I left and too many cars already, and he did help me out tons on my other cars and stuff) so not too great a surprise to see it sold on.

Brought with from UK...
'92 Scirocco
'99 Lupo
'01 Passat V5 est
'04 Audi A2
'72 100 Coupe s

and have acquired since arriving here...

'82 Coupe GT5S (1 owner from new)
'94 80 V6 Cabrio
'71 T3 Variant auto (my first ever air-cooled)
'01 Nissan Stagea (a Skyline estate ex japan) black, black leather, tinted windows, 2 sunroofs, auto 2.5 straight 6 240bhp 4x4 pimpmobile
'01 Toyota Bb OpenDeck (limited edition Bb based mini pick up)
'06 T5 lwb TDi 130 Tiptronic Camper van

so can't really complain too much!

Don't know about them being unrepairable - this was fully rebuilt by auto gearbox specialists at 120,000 miles (@40,000 miles ago) would easily guess good for another 80,000+ miles - gearbox will probably outlive rest of car!

Default Auto box repair

Hi

Just a short note on autobox repair ,the only problem you might have is getting parts for it/

My Master Tech in South Africa, overhauled these Autoboxs,on Audi 200/100 ,aUDI C3/C4,as well as on the VW lines
He said they where a simple set up..............BUT now getting the replacement parts that could be a issue

My 2 cents

cheers
john
