Default Audi 80 B2 (5 pot) or 90 B2

I’m looking to buy what is proving to be the proverbial hen’s tooth – Audi 80 B2 with a 5 pot engine or a 90 B2 - It’s got to be a runner with an MOT.

This one’s a beauty:

… but blows my budget to pieces.

Do I need a reality check?

Very few 80's came with the 5 pot engine.
The CD had them as standard and are fairly rare although you can get them from time to time for around a grand and sometimes less. That one does look like a nice example, but it's waaay over priced in my book.

If you do have a decent budget, I have a mint, concours B2 90 CD with 7000 miles on the clock.

Yep, mine was one, but the engine got removed for a nice 20v 7a lump!!

Since then, I've only seen 2 or 3 80q's for sale in the past 2 years, but like you say, they used to be on there quite regularly.

Hmmm, you’ve got me interested – what sort of figure did you have in mind? Also, any chance of some photos?

Thanks Brian - I did first see this one a number of weeks ago though - I'm always a bit dubious about the ads that totally lack any photos - and Blackburn's 5 hour trek for me!
