Default Vacuum connections on GT5S dizzy

Junked the Pierberg and put a Weber on. It's properly jetted and goes a treat except for this hesitence when the second (main) butterfly opens. I don't know whether it's dizzy related or if the fuel pump's on its way out and hence can't give the accelerator pump what it needs as the butterfly opens. I can't find anywhere in the haynes manual where the dizzy retard connection is supposed dto connect to. At the moment i've got the advance can plumbed to the carb itself (upstream of the butterfly); and the retard can plubed to one of the main vacuum taps on the inlet manifold.

ANY ADVICE/SUGGESTIONS MORE THAN WELCOME AS IT'S DOING MY NUT!!!!

Cheers,

Matt

Have you got the instructions? I have a copy here in Calne.

Just don't drive on the 2nd butterfly, its more economical!

My 80CL (1.6 4 pot with Weber) has a "step" where you can feel the extra butterfly open, but it doesn't really "hesitate".

instructions for the weber? Nope. I'd love to see some re advice on connecting it up lol! There are also a couple of wires that I had to cut when removing the pierberg so have no idea of their effect either :s What instructions do you have?
