Backplates and bolts
Well, I've managed to get one caliper carrier off at the fron (well big son did) but the other has rather rounded bolt heads. They will come off, with effort I suppose, but will need replacing. Can anyone advise me if Audi still stock these bolts? I imagine that they are dirt cheap, but I'd rather replace them.
Also, how is the back plate attached" It all looks a bit cruddy and Haynes is not really helpful. I would like to take them off and refurb them. |

I think B3 and B4 rear shields are different (different axles). Not sure on front one.
I have just sorted out the FREE parts i gave away at ADI and i have got good B3 and B4 rear guards (at least i think thats what they fit) The bolts are just a standard size for the fronts. The rears hold the stub axle on and are cap head bolts. Caliper carrier bolts are a funny thread (or at least S6 rear carrier bolts are) different pitch Last edited by shaun5; 16-10-16 at 04:27 PM. |

That's odd as i looked up 1990 part no's ( B3 ), and 1993 part no's ( B4 ) and they were the same
Having said that, i am a bit of a novice The fronts seem to go by engine code, just looked it all up again. |

Having said that, i am a bit of a novice Maybe its because my rear ones are from a Cabriolet and 80 saloon???? if it wasn't so hard to upload pictures i could show you the difference |
