Thanks to all that gave advice and a special thanks to Mark for talking me through the process on the phone.
Ok so in the end two things happened. 1. I found out that my URQ uses an 813mm alternator belt, not the 800mm as stated in halfrauds and definitely not the 850mm one (think that's the aircon one) 2. When bolts shear off they're a pain in the a$$. Luckily I had a mastertech living down the road who took three and a half hours of his evening stripping off the front of my car so he could drill through sheared bolt and fit the new belt for me. Car is all happy again now, and in turn so am I!

Good to know its all done and back together! Pain in the butt when it goes awry, but adds to the satisfaction when it all goes well again!
