I should point out I don't want to stand up for the particular supplier as I suspect I know who they are and they are rip off merchants

Curiously, the part I quoted this week looks identical to a quattro window clip! I wasn't given a part number, but it holds a trim around the window of a mk1 Scirocco..

Ah OK, not the part or supplier I was thinking of...

However, if they've had a new tool made and run a batch off then my prices on page one still stand. Depending on the tool type and batch quantity (depending on projected sales) then its feasible and even quite likely that these parts owe them £3 each..

Looking at his other items I'm not convinced that the parts aren't printed on a FDM machine like mine... I've asked him..

I'm pretty sure thats Andy Galloway, who in the absence of parts from Audi (NLA), went down the route of making his own. I know that one person supplied a number of similar parts to a body shop as part of a rebuild, for the parts to vanish, and still needing them.
I can't say for sure one way or the other, but the parts aren't free to produce. If there's a choice of alternatives, then great.

If he's producing these in small volume, then the price is not unreasonable.

I have some of these new and unused (bought for future projects before they became hard to get), and I would want more than a fiver a piece to sell them........

You can't be expecting to pay 1980's prices for stuff remade in 2015 after all.....

The parts ARE 3d printed, Andy has confirmed.

I think the 'elephant in the room' is Audi Gmbh's approach to its heritage. TBH.
