B2 Coupe quattro rear diff seals
http://www.oemepc.com/audi/part_sing.../290147/lang/e Hi, I have a 1985 b2 coupe quattro with the early style rear diff. I am looking for both the left and right seals, I think 23 & 24 on the diagram. Part numbers are showing on oemepc as: 857525400A & 016409399B I've been quoted £140 for left and £19 for right. After searching those part numbers I have seen these: https://store.034motorsport.com/diff...57525400a.html https://www.buycarparts.co.uk/corteco/2094471 Anyone know if these would be suitable? |

The right side seal is just a standard off the shelf rotating shaft seal which is available from any generic seal outlet - you just need the dimensions 45x60x8mm.
Audi Tradition do the left side for 95 Euros. Getting it ordered is a different challenge as the site is broken just now.

Hello Rosco,
I agree with Mike. I would not use a cheap AM part on the left. The right one is the same as the front once. A tip for installing the left seal, make yourself a plate that almost covers the outer diameter of the seal wit an 8mm center hole. Use an M8 bolt to pull it in the right depth. I hope that helps, happy wrenching. Ciao Werner |

Thanks for the fitting tips Werner, 034 Motorsports confirmed that the one they sell is the one that I need, however they want $35 shipping for a $20 part.
Unfortunately for the last 3 months the Audi Tradition store has been unable to accept payments, so might have to go with the 034 option. |

Hi Rosco
The smaller seal is widely available such as below @ £6.34 incl p&p https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1x-8mm-Th...EAAOSwPOhajMrx Have you tried quattro corner for the larger seal? Call Pete Reeve on 0121 476 0034 or you could try https://www.eurosporttuning.com/euro...57525400a.html $35 but you would need to establish postage. Hope this helps - good luck
