The white 80 sport as we know was all down to Shill bidding, as the car is still up for sale on several websites (including the company who did the work and who own the car).
Sad really as the person who owns it is a member on here.

I guess with early Audi 80's it's really down to what one person is prepared to pay.
I'd personally only value an Audi 80 quattro at between £1800 and £2500 (up to £3k for a low mileage nice minty one), but that said, there's a market we know simply as "Ireland!", where a strong Euro against a pound which is worth the square root of jack shit, means cars like this end up going over there for fairly strong money.
Yes, but there is a limit even to the Irish market!
Values are down on most classics over here as people either don't have the money or they are VERY choosy. Even the Ford nutters!
I would have guessed £1600.

An old mate of mine left one of these at a garage in Edinburgh about 4 years ago where the garage owner agreed to put it up for sale on his lot. Genuine, clean & tidy rust-free white A-reg 80 Quattro 2.1 Sport with about 80k miles on it. It sat unsold for ages then my mate was fearing storage charges so didn't bother persuing it thereafter. If I had had the foresight I'd have bought it myself... had no idea they were would end up being worth this kind of money. Clearly my mate had no idea at the time either! The garage moved it on about 3 years ago, but I don't know where to.

Good luck with the sale of this one... pics would be good!

Edit: BTW I had about 7 cars at the time including my old Type 85 90, so had no more room for any others at the time...!!

Who puts that much effort into a car, and an ad for that car without putting a picture of the "head turner"? Never mind a price, even if its a 8000 or best offer.
