It's easy to do a good job but some complain of the headlining dropping again over time, a trimmer came on here once and told us to use this -

I had a pretty detailed thread on here about it but deleted two of my three photobucket accounts and those photos were on one not related to my other car stuff.

Still have the pics on an old tower and will put them back up one day if I ever get a minute!

I've seen a few of these attempted and the results were less than perfect to say the least. I bet not many know this but the best way to do this is in through the front windscreen aperture before the windscreen is bonded in,as per factory. Non of that forcing, bending and cracking it.

Personally i would rather take it out myself back through the windscreen aperture clean it up and give it to a pro.Surely it wouldn't be more than 3 hrs to cover it @ £50 an hour so £150 or £200 tops. Just guessing.At least it would be perfect no? Thoughts on a suitable place anyone?

That's because I deleted my photbucket account by accident. But that was on an avant, just open the boot! We're all well aware that on saloons the headlining went in before the windows did, don't worry, we're experts on here.

It may not be such a problem on a C4 but the problem on a C3 is, at the last I heard, you can't buy the trim piece to put the bloody window back in.

Hence on some, bending is unavoidable, unless you fancy welding the roof back on, at the bottom of the pillars.

In which case, why don't people pay pro rata the above, so £25 to get someone to cover it.
Somehow i think they'll want more than that to do it? Risk/level of skill involved etc?

Yep, it's two to four hundred to get a headlinging done depending where you go, and some don't even take it out of the car! It's honestly not difficult, like a cross between applying vinyl sign writing and wallpapering with different glue!

Trimming a leather seat with a sewing machine would be a skill, but headlinings must be one of their high profit tasks per ounce of skill used.

like comparing a polish and wax to a respray.. or an oil change to a gas flow of a head.. or... flying a plane sober, to flying a plane drunk! That's why old pilots get paid so much, not easy!.
