Brake force regulator
Have just bought a 1989 200 10v Turbo Quattro Avant.
Few days ago I recognized that the brake force regulator, with all equipment, is missing. The regulator is no longer availablle from Audi and I`m not sure of the right partnr./type of regulator who fits on my car. (have called two Audi shops and they gave me two different parnr.) Have looked at ebay and similar sides on the web, but there is different types there. It is self leveling suspension on the car. Hope someone here can help me with this!! |

I've never seen a 200q with the self leveling working, most have had the set up replaced with standard or lowered strut inserts at least mine all have, you could try Pete Reeve at quattro corner he's helped me out with a few nla parts which he had in his hoard.
Oh nearly forgot get the pics up matey its mandatory.

Thank you for answers!
Now I maybe can buy a valve with the mechanic-system from a car with self-leveling. Hope that the valve is working (and fits)! Was in contact with my lokal Audi-dealer (again) yesterday, and they said that the partnr. on the valve for car with self leveling si 447614151 and w/o self leveling 443614151J. The other dealer I called said that the partnr. for cars with self leveling is 443614151B., the same nr. Stanson wrote. I wonder what can be the reasons of these differences?) I`ll get you updated! |

Differences may just be changes made to the part over time.
Converted my 1987 C3 Avant to standard rear suspension 2 years ago. The self-levelling valve began to leak. 26 years must be a record for those valves. Anyway, with a bit of clever re-plumbing of pipework, my mechanic managed to keep using the self-levelling brake pressure regulator.... So far, so good. Interestingly, he said he could probably have used a VW Corrado brake regulator if a standard regulator was not available from Audi. |

I'd be interested to know what the differences are between the normal regulators and those on self levelling cars. I've only seen the former, so far.
It's a fairly simple alloy valve block, made by Ate. I've got one where the plunger valve itself had seized internally, but the valve seems to be thread locked. It's a pretty soft material, so getting it out intact has proven next to impossible. Most of these seem to fail due to corrosion on the actuating arm. Looking through the VagCat catalogue, both the 443 and 447 numbers appear on many of the models from Audi 100/200 type 44 through to A6, C4 chassis vehicles, and Audi V8. All of which have common components.
