I don't think the guy would let it go for £100 unfortunately - he kept metioning that the scrap man had offered him £100 - I didn't say anything in reply!

Might be worth seeing what it needs. I haven't seen one of those for years. There was a really clean one on a garage forecourt near where I used to live in 1986. If I'd had the cash, I would have bought it.
I never did like that nondescript metallic grey though. Needs to be metallic burgundy or maybe black. |

Yes - the non-descript metallic grey - that is the colour of my 200 5T....but surely it's better than metallic gold - which is the colour of my other 200???

Spoke to Rob last night in the pub and he said how he had a bit of disintegrating axle issue when picking it up!!
I've bagsied the rims! Not sure what I'm gonna use them on but 15" x 6" 5 stud rims may come in handy one day!!! |

It's a good call for £150, is that, the engine has the same rebuild potential as a WR quattro...

The rear badges were stolen the night before so Rob told me, I know you mentioned you were after those Coxy....where were you the night before last? Thanks for the tip off about the 5T btw, I got some really useful bits.

I've gotta call into work tomorrow, so gonna pop by as I want to see what Melvyns front looks like with the car gone. Bet the neighbours are glad to be honest. Not the smallest houses in the world either side! |
