Strange you should say that about same old same old Mark, don't forget Mike and the mechanics are very similar due to Mike Rutherford coming from genesis.

No comparison for me at all, Mike and the Mechanics are excellent yet Genesis ie whats his name sings like a wounded cat feeling sorry for itself.

Being popular doesn't always mean it's right. I think Phils music was of it's time, where
as Mike and the mechanics was is for all time.

As far as i am concerned they are both great, my point is it all started with one group and what came later is not surprising given it's roots, lets say it evolved in two directions.
