another tip, DON'T use the tips of your fingers to push down on the clay, use the pads on middle of your fingers as you are less likely to push down and cause marring as you have more control over the pressure applied. You only need to lightly drag it across the paint. You'll feel the clay bar trying to grabs as you run it over the paint.

Nothing I love more than a nice Saturday, a nice Audi, a claybar and a few good tunes on the Ipod! One clay bar does the car for me (S4 avant) - I save the clay afterwards and use it to do the wheels the next time.

Got stuck into some claying today, see what you mean about contaminants stuck to the paint, makes a difference to put the polish onto nice clean paint.
Aye a good workout and results on the car.

Some muck

Bonnet reflection after a good claying

Thats one dirty car! - Never seen that much crap come off on the claybar!

I have one claybar left out of my Megs kit but have run out of the spray, are there any alternatives I can use?

You can buy the oily stuff on its own, just called quick detailler. its just there to provide a bit of lubrication.

Its amazing how much sh*t the claybar takes off, when you think its clean, it isnt!

Just noticed is that boleros you have on that car as well... you really did get a steal there, i do think these are hugely under rated cars... actually thats everything i like about early 90's audis, so much more than they look, appeals to me greatly.

Yes boleros in need of a refurb!!
Car needs a bottom half respray me thinks as very bad stone chipping along doors.S6 is as you say one fine piece of engineering, with kick back turbo kicks in and boy does she go,straight as an arrow ,auto box changes virtually unnoticeable, very smooth, lovin it!!
