You haven't inadvertently turned the dimmer switch by any chance?

If you get a full display at some points, it sounds like it could be related to your ignition switch, I had a similar thing several years ago, a slight backward turn of the key got the dash to light, a new switch sorted it completely. Only other common being the load relief relay does cut power to the dash when starting, if it plays up, no dash, although normally other electrical bits don't work.

Thanks Darren. Interesting. I'll look at the switch/relay.

My dash was ok for a bit following a load of recommissioning work to the car ..and never had historical problems. It then had a period of being fine for two mins after startup and, thereafter, consistently showing erratic values for everything. Then she died.

I was assuming the power inverter pack but have yet to remove it all from the car. Spring job.

Is the dash load relief relay part of the dash or in the main fuse box? Ta
