Ride Height of my Audi 100 GL C1

I wonder if anyone can help me.
I think my car is sitting either too low at the back or too high at the front. The only items I have replaced is the shock absorbers both front and back but have not changed the front road springs. These are original. The car has only ever covered 32,000 miles from new.
I would appreciate any suggestions as to lowering the front as I feel that the front is too high.

did you put the right shock absorbers?

I know, that on the coupe S, the front shock absorbers are lower than the limo.
Maybe it is the same for the rear.

So maybe you have the front shock absorbers for the limo, and the rear one from the coupeS ??

PS : I see on your pic, that you have a protection for mud, under the wings. Where did you find it ?

with wheel arches that clean, keep it high and show them off!

Mine sits lower than that but maybe that could be down to saggy springs on mine?

If the underside is as clean as the rest of it, perhaps you should get a jack up kit

Hi Sledge,

Were either of the sets of shocks gas-charged? If not, they should NOT be able to affect the ride height. I don't know the suspension set-up on these older models, or how much stripping had to be done to fit shocks, but I would be looking to chech that the "tails" of the springs were properly seated, and that any suspension pivot bolts which were undone were only tightened once the full weight of the car was back on the wheels.

If none of those apply, I wouldn't worry too much until it had been driven round for a day or two; It sometimes takes a while for the suspension to settle back down.
