For those of you that have been following this thread it will come as no surprise that I have decided not to continue with this project. Firstly because only having a couple of cars turn up would not reflect well on the forum to other enthusiasts but secondly, and more importantly, I would not like us to be given a space at the expense of a, dare I say, more deserving club/forum who would quite easily fill an allocated plot

My thanks though to both Ditch and mikes2 (from Scotland!) who showed willing

As a postscript to this, today I left a nice freshly cleaned B4 all day at a local classic car show. On returning to collect I found it covered in a thick layer of dust and sporting a scuff mark in the paint on the rear offside thanks to an a**hole in a Morgan who had parked skew-wiff next to me causing people to have to squeeze past and resulting in someone's bag/jacket/pram marking my paintwork, exacerbated by the very dry and dusty conditions

I hung around for a short while to have 'appropriate' words with the Morgan driver but the longer I waited the angrier I got and those words were liable to escalate into a 'wiggin kiss'

Hopefully it will polish out but I'm not confident

Understanding your anger Carl,same thing here in our cabriolet last week only on the bumper and luckily just a faint mark,but we're / your so careful to protect our pride and joys yet others always seam to be hell bent on going about oblivious in there lives without a thought for some one else property.

Yes, I was only thinking it must be open season on CA B4s at the moment. First Stormtrooper gets its eye poked out then your cabbys bumper and now mine.
If it's your own fault you can just about handle it, but when it done by someone else, well.....

Hope it sorts okay Carl, i agree that CA B4's seem to be getting damaged and it is infuriating to say the least !

You should have waited and given him the wiggin kiss
