Default question for owners rally cars and reps

Any of you got a shift light controller fitted to your car? All I need is something to put on a light at a certain rpm. Nothing fancy or expensive. and where can i get them from .thanks

I have one of the Glowshift lights from ebay, cost £30, looks similar to the above.

12v, earth and tacho signal.

Most of them are set up for 4, 6 and 8 cyl, but as they have an adjustable dial you just turn it until it works at the rpm you desire. (or /x 1.25 etc if you want to work it out)

On my s2 I stuck the shift light in behind the centre vent so it is invisible until the whole vent goes red

This...Or...

If you're mutton-geoff try wiring a coilpack up to your hearing aid and an earth clamp to your right plum, that way when the noise gets too loud, your bollocks will blow up....

Just a thought....

Omex do one but I think it's a lot more than the one suggested by Karl.

I fitted an Omex to someone elses car and it worked well, better than Dereks by the sound of it! Haven't tried the gonad method though.

We have a shift light on the dash, but it is a built in function of the Emerald ECU.

it's a better idea but a bit pricy just for turning on a light

Rev counters seem to be quite popular on modern cars?..
