Default '94 1.9TDi manual gearbox wanted..

Hi y'all

My 1Z 1.9 TDi sheared some teeth in the 'box (photos of carnage available for your amusement..) so lost 3rd gear, with 4 starting to jump out too..

I fitted my (untested) spare gearbox and, whilst it has 5 working gears (& a backwards one) it was noisy as hell I've opened that one up too and the bearings are BAD - damn!

My plan then was to combine the 2 - one good set of bearings and one good set of gears, but it doesn't look like the bearings will come off in one piece.

SO, does anyone have either a known good gearbox for sale, OR a supplier of bearings for a good price?

Many thanks - would love to get it back on the road soon - currently using my E32 750i as a daily which is an expensive experience!!

Try All Audi in Bristol on 0117 949 4136

Or Will in Northampton who goes by VRS on eBay

Where are you anyway? That would be a good starting point to find somewhere near you

There's a few in Albert Looms Scrappy in Derby. Think they're about £110 if they pull it out for you, £75 if you take it out.

Might be looking for one for Black bess soon, Diff getting noisey, only got worse since my Pete started learning how to kangaroo a car and testing what happens when you don't put the clutch in when you stop... Doh!
Heard that the 90bhp 5 speeds not the strongest, though lasted 149K so far..
